WATTS funeral on Tuesday

Services for Winnetka G. WATTS, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl B. Riggs will officiate and burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery.

Family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the United Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. WATTS died at 8 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient for five days. The family home is at 13 N. Court.

Winnetka G. WATTS was born was born Aug. 27, 1898, in Boone, the daughter of Gus and Alma JOHNSON HANSEN. She was married to Leslie A. WATTS Nov. 7, 1923, in Bonaparte. He survives.

She was educated in the Boone and Fairfield schools and attended Parsons College. She served as deputy auditor for five years in Van Buren County and for 10 years in Jefferson County.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church; PEO, Chapter C; a 50-year members of Eastern Star and White Shrine.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Carl A. WATTS, Brighton, Mich.; a sister, Mary J. KNAFLA, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; three grandchidren and a sister, Elizabeth FERREN, Evanston, Ill.

Mrs. WATTS was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
