Thursday April 18, 1974W. BRUDERS Dies At 80
Walter R. BRUDERS, 80, 602 W. Kirkwood, died Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health the past year.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 a.m. (sic. more likely p.m.), at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold D. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
BRUDERS was born Nov. 13, 1893 at Bloomfield, the son of Henry and Johanna SCHROEDER BRUDERS.
He was married to Grace MULLENIX KERR on June 30, 1915. She died Jan. 5, 1973.
He had lived in the Fairfield community for over 65 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Bloomfield, the Eagles Lodge and the Molders Union. He had worked at the Iowa Malleable Company for 45 years before his retirement.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Jack CGERRY of Washington; Mrs. Oren CHAMP of West Burlington; Mrs. Calvin SIMPSON of Port Byron, Ill., and Mrs. J.R. VANNATTA of Fairfield. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Raymond AIN of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
