Thursday, April 25, 1974Death Takes Mrs. MADDIX
LIBERTYVILLE - Mrs. Aaron MADDIX, 66, Libertyville, died at 6 a.m. today at the Ottumwa Hospital where she had been a patient the past five years.
The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home where last rites are pending.
Lorraine MADDIX was born March 5, 1908, at Belknap, the daughter of Leslie E. and Iva Dell TOWNSEND TURPIN. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Libertyville, United Methodist Women, Wi-Mo-Dau-Sis Club and Pythian Sisters.
She was married Dec. 11, 1926, at Oskaloosa to Aaron Glade MADDIX who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Verne Leroy and Von Gene, both of Fairfield; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Dell WASSON, Libertyville, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also two brothers, Addis T. and Arden TURPIN, both of Lansing, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Lenore DAUGHTY, Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; Mrs. Flossie CROWLEY, Hollywood, Fla.; and Mrs. Frances WILSON, Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by one brother.

Admin. note: Burial was in Fell Cemetery with husband Aaron who died in 2001.
