'Lob' BENNINGS Taken In Death

Willaim C. BENNINGS, resident of the Fairfield community for many years, passed away about 8 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson county home where he had been a patient for the past several months.

Last rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home. Burial will be in the Purdom cemetery at Keosauqua.

William C. "Lob" BENNINGS, as his many friends new him, was born April 1, 1878, at Fort Madison. He spent his early life in the Keosauqua community before moving to Fairfield.

He is survived by four nephews.
