MRS. MCGUIRE RITES THURSDAY. Services for MRS. LULU AGNES MCGUIRE, 78, are tentatively planned Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home. MRS. MCGUIRE died Monday at the Nelson Nursing Home after a long illness. She made her home for many years at 115 S. Court Street. Last rites will be conducted by the REV. HOYT WHITEBREAD. Burial, will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
MRS. MCGUIRE was born Oct. 12, 1884 at Davenport, the daughter of WILLIAM H. and JANE CLARK SEAMAN. She was reared and educated in Davenport. She was married to DR. R. A. MCGUIRE June 30, 1909. MRS. MCGUIRE had been a resident of Fairfield for 38 years. She was a member of the Lutheran church and a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her husband preceded her in death July 19, 1957.
MRS. MCGUIRE is survived by the following children: MRS. MARGARET RIZOR, Lockridge; HARVEY MCGUIRE, Keokuk; DR. KENNETH MCGUIRE, Keota; BENJAMIN MCGUIRE, Carlsbad, N. Mex; and WILLIS MCGUIRE, Charles City. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, one brother, HERBERT SEAMAN, Rock Island, Ill.; and two sisters, MRS. WALTER OAKLEY, Buffalo, Minn., and HAZEL SEAMAN, Washington, D. C. One daughter, one brother and one sister are deceased.
