Shirley R. CHARBONNEAU

Shirley R. CHARBONNEAU, 77, of rural Keosauqua, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren Hospice in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cantril United Methodist Church, with Lee McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Cantril United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 1600 Eighth St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. CHARBONNEAU was born July 2, 1934, in Cantril, the daughter of Lloyd C. and Marjorie WILSON SMITH. She married James V. CHARBONNEAU April 25, 1951, in Memphis, Mo. He died Oct. 6, 2004.

Mrs. CHARBONNEAU attended Cantril High School. She and her husband had lived in Cantril and Keosauqua.

Mrs. CHARBONNEAU was a member of Cantril United Methodist Church.

Her hobby was crocheting. She displayed her work many years at the Mount Pleasant Old Threshers Reunion.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda CHARBONNEAU of Des Moines; one son, Ray Von CHARBONNEAU and wife Rose Mary of Keosauqua; two grandsons; five great-granddaughters; three stepgranddaughters; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one infant son, Lonnie Joe CHARBONNEAU.
