Logan J. HANSHAW, 84, 1102 W. Grimes, died Thursday afternoon at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been a patient since Sept. 3.
Services will be held Satruday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Yancey in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will received friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 8:30.
HANSHAW had been a resident of Fairfield for 48 years. He was employed at the Dexter Co. for many years before his retirement.
He was born Sept. 21, 1889 in Van Buren County, the son of Logan and Susie GIRE HANSHAW. He was married to Maude LOVING Sept. 21, 1910. She died Jan. 16, 1965.
HANSHAW was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the International Molders and Foundry Workers of America.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donal ROBISON, and one son, Lloyd HANSHAW, both of Fairfield; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, one grandson and one half-brother are deceased.
