Vera McMURRAY

Vera Grace McMURRAY, 83, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview Care Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery, Lockridge. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at noon Friday. A memorial has been established to Pleasant Plain Friends Church.

Mrs. McMURRAY was born Sept. 11, 1902 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ira E. and Savilla N. KIGER KYLE. She married Carl R. McMURRAY June 23, 1925 in Fairfield. He survives.

Also surviving are a son, Carl D. of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Georgette McMURRAY of Bulverde, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fern K. MOORE of Lincoln, Calif., Faye MAKEPEACE of Tucson, Ariz., and a brother, D. C, KYLE of Cedar Rapids. A son preceded her in death.

Mrs. McMURRAY had worked for the John Deere Farm Machinery Company in E. Moline for several years before moving to Fairfield, whre she had lived for the last six years.
