BRIGHTON ENTERPRISE, Sat. Feb. 22, 1902 (4-2)

Joseph Benda, Sr. died at his home south of town last Monday. He was an aged and respected citizen of the Polish settlement and an old settler. He leaves a wife and several married children. The funeral took place at the Polish Catholic church on Wednesday.
