Matthew D. Billingsley, 28, of Farmington died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in an accident on 270th St., north of Farmington.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery southwest of Bonaparte.

Visitation opened at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 3-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 703 S. Fifth St., Farmington 52626.

Mr. Billingsley was born Jan. 6, 1975, in Keosauqua, the son of Wayne and Maria Clark Billingsley. He married Dawn C. Richards Dec. 31, 1999, in Hillsboro.

Mr. Billingsley lived his life in the Farmington community, attended Harmony High School, was a self-employed fence builder and worked at The Dexter Company in Fairfield. His pastimes included hunting, fishing and trapping.

He was a member of M-16 Motorcycle Club and sponsored benefit auctions for those in need in his community. He was a candidate for Farmington City Council in the upcoming November election.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Christine Billingsley of the home; one son, Tanner Billingsley of the home; his mother and stepfather, Maria and Allan Rains of Bonaparte; stepmother, Jean Billingsley of Ottumwa; one stepbrother, Jon Menuis of Ottumwa; one stepsister, Christa Menuis of Ottumwa; and grandparents, Bernard and Maxine Clark of Bonaparte.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Travis Billingsley; and grandparents, Robert and Kate Billingsley.
