Ceci BALMER

Ceci BALMER, 59, of Fairfield, died Sunday morning, Jan. 1, 2012, at home.

A service was held Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Condolences may be sent to the funeral home.

Mrs. BALMER was born Nov. 10, 1952, in Burbank, Calif., the daughter of Lee and Murray BRASLER. She married Alan BALMER June 20, 1982, in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

The couple moved to Fairfield in 1980. Mrs. BALMER was a registered nurse and worked as a volunteer for various service organizations in Fairfield.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening flowers, photography, reading, spiritual pursuits and spending time with friends and family, especially her first grandchild.

Survivors include her husband; two children: Nancy and Alex BALMER and wife Mary, all of Iowa City; one granddaughter; and two brothers: Joseph and Larry BRASLER of Sherman Oaks, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
