MRS. J. BENN RITES SATURD'Y

Mrs. John A. BENN (sic. maiden name Jessie F. HUSS) passed away this morning at 2:15 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry LANE in Stockport (sic. in Van Buren county) where she had made her home the past three years. She had been in failing health for three years and seriously ill one week.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hoskins funeral home. Rev. H. C. Irvine of Birmingham will officiate and burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BENN was born in Jefferson county December 21, 1874 and was a teacher in the Jefferson county schools for years. She married John A. BENN (sic. John Alexander BENN) who preceded her in death November 20, 1926. She was an active member of the Birmingham Presbyterian church.

Surviving besides Mrs. LANE is another daugther, Mrs. C. R. LAUGHRIGE of Dunlap, Iowa and one granddaughter, Beverly Eloise LANE of Stockport.
