Marie SADLER, 98, formerly of Cantril, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Charlotte Marie SADLER

Charlotte Marie SADLER, 98, formerly of Cantril, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Anna Donat officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will be present 6-8 p.m.

Memorials to Lebanon United Methodist Church or Lebanon Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 1201 E. Franklin St., Bloomfield 52537.

Mrs. SADLER was born June 2, 1913, near Keosauqua, the daughter of Charles and Emma BURNS DAUGHERTY. She married George W. SADLER June 26, 1931, in Memphis, Mo. He died Dec. 24, 1979.

Mrs. SADLER lived her whole life in Van Buren County. She graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1931 and farmed with her husband east of Lebanon, Iowa until his death. She moved to Cantril in 1993. She had resided at the good Samaritan center since January 2008.

Mrs. SADLER belonged to Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Jeanne SADLER of Moscow, Iowa; and one son-in-law, Erlon "Bud" DUFUR of Cantril.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Neil SADLER and Donald SADLER at birth; one daughter, Linda DUFUR; two brothers, Robert and Edmund DAUGHERTY; and two sisters, Bessie ANDERS and Pauline WILEY.
