Pioneer resident of Pleasant Plain dies in Kansas. Franklin Hadley received word last week of the death of his sister Sibby Hadley Paxson at her home in Pennokee, Kansas, age 84. Born at Pleasant Plain, Iowa; married Cyrus Paxon in 1863 (1 Aug 1864 in Jeff. Co. Iowa); two sons and three daughters; four survive. Family moved to Kansas in 1885. Mr. Paxon died two years ago. She also leaves her only brother Franklin and Mrs. Sarah Cowguill, Richland, Mrs. Jane Johnson, Almena, Kans., and Mrs. Philena Mendenhall of Wichita, Kansas.
She was of a family of 12 children, 3 sons and nine daughters.
