G. E. BAKER

G. Edward BAKER, 69, of 505 1/2 East Main street, died at his home at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

He was the son of William H. and Lydia E. BAKER and was born December 12, 1874, at Denver, Colo. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 13 Years.

Surviving are seven sons, three daughters, seven grandchildren, four brothers and a sister.

The sons are Ellsworth, Albert, Claude E. and James BAKER, all of Ottumwa; Murl BAKER, Des Moines; Pfc. Earl BAKER, who is serving in New Guinea, and Pvt. Howard BAKER, who is stationed at Camp Swift, Tex. The daughters are Mrs. Cecil SMITH, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Maude ASHBY, Los Angeles, and Mrs. George FARRELL, Wilmington, Calif.

Surviving brothers and sisters are T. E. BAKER, Birmingham, Iowa; Fred BAKER, Libertyville, and John and Blaine BAKER, both of Abingdon, Iowa, and Mrs. F. G. MYERS, Ft. Collins, Colo.

The body was taken to Johnson funeral chapel to await completion of funeral arrangements.

BAKER SERVICES

Funeral services for G. Edward BAKER, 505 1/2 East Main street, who died at his home last Tuesday, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. E. J. Strong, pastor of the North Side Nazarene church. Burial will be in Abingdon cemetery.
