Friday, 9 July 1976Mrs. PRATT Dies At 44
ELDON -- Charlotte Louise PRATT, 44, died Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at Ottumwa Hospital where she had been a patient for five weeks.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m., at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Earl Menning officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established to the United Tribes Mission and the Smith-Warren School for Handicapped Children.
Mrs. PRATT was born Oct. 8, 1931, at Oskaloosa, the daughter of Orrie and Florence FUNK DAVIS. She married Bert C. PRATT on Jan. 8, 1948. She was a member of the Blakesburg Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, American Business Women's Association and the Eldon Community Club.
She is survived by two sons, Cecil Eugene PRATT, U.S. Navy, Newport News, Va., and Philip Michael PRATT, U.S. Army, Fort Ord, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Michael HAINES of Hedrick and Mrs. Tom BOX of Ottumwa; her stepfather and her mother, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey WHITMORE, Fairfield; a grandmother, Mrs. Laura FUNK, Ottumwa; a sister, Mrs. Don EAKINS, Batavia; twin brothers, Larry DAVIS of Batavia and Jerry DAVIS of Fairfield; two stepsisters, Mrs. Harold SHIPLER, Batavia, and Mrs. Ronald RUGGLES, Packwood; two stepbrothers, Ralph WHITMORE of California and John WHITMORE of New Mexico, and seven grandchildren.
