Abingdon Church Rites Sunday

For Mrs. Ada RAMEY

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Bessie RAMEY, 77, who died yesterday at the Crawford nursing home following an illness of several years, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Christian church. The Rev. Sam P. Williamson will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in the Abingdon cemetery.

Mrs. RAMEY was born in Jefferson county Dec. 31, 1876, the daughter of Wyley and Martha LEEPER HITE. She moved with her parents to Kansas at an early age. She married Lester RAMEY who preceded her in death several years ago. Following their marriage the couple lived near Ottumwa and for the past 23 years Mrs. RAMEY had lived in Abingdon where she was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Eva MYERS and Mrs. Etta FRANCIS, Batavia, Margaret HITE, Abingdon, and Mrs. Cora WILLIAMSON, Colorado Springs, Colo., and one brother, Frank HITE, Phillipsburg, Kan. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

The body is at the Campbell funeral home in Batavia.
