Wednesday, September 1983Rites Thursday for A. B. CLINE
Services for A. B. "Bernie" CLINE, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Raymond Funeral Home. The Rev. Kermit Black will officiate and burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home followed by visitation from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial may be made to the Peoples Church or the Abingdon Church.
A. B. CLINE, formerly of Packwood, died at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa. He was a member of the Peoples church north of Batavia, a 50 year Mason and was a member of the Abingdon Lodge.
His marriage to Edith CLARK took place February 25, 1920 at the Methodist parsonage in Fairfield.
He was a retired farmer and lived in the Packwood community his entire life until moving to Ottumwa.
Cline served on the Jefferson county Board of Supervisors for 9 years.
In addition to his widow he is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by all twelve of his brothers and sisters.
