B. BRADFIELD dies at 83

BATAVIA -- Bruce BRADFIELD, 83, died Tuesday at 9 a.m. at his home seven miles northeast of Batavia

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the People's Church north of Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia. A memorial has been established to People's Church.

BRADFIELD was born Sept. 18, 1898 in Jefferson County, the son of Harry and Nora HUFFMAN BRADFIELD. He spent all of his life in Jefferson County where he engaged in farming. A World War I veteran, he was a member of Keep Young Club, Airstream Travel Club and the Methodist Church. He married Pauline JACKSON in 1921. She died in 1970. In 1972 he married Mary JORDAN, who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Marilyn FENTON of Batavia: four sons, Billy of Gresham, Ore., George of Packwood, Paul and Rod, both of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
