Wayne Keith CURTIS

Wayne Keith CURTIS, 81, of Ottumwa, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Willard Street United Methodist Church in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Charles E. Luers officiating. Burial in Batavia Cemetery will follow a lunch at the church.

Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at Johnson's Funeral Chapel, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Ottumwa Crest Services or Tenco Industries Inc.

Mr. CURTIS was born Aug. 28, 1930, in rural Wapello County, the son of Chester Kerlin CURTIS and Josephine TEETER CURTIS.

Mr. CURTIS lived in rural Wapello County until moving to Ottumwa Crest Home in 1974. In 2009, he moved to Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

In Ottumwa, Mr. CURTIS was a member of the Methodist church, Tenco, ARC of Jefferson and Nearby Counties, Special Olympics and Lions Club.

Survivors include one brother, Bruce CURTIS of East Lansing, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
