Inez A. SMITH dies in Arizona

A former Fairfield resident, Inez A. SMITH, 57, died Tuesday at 10:25 a.m. at the Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.

She was the widow of the late Willard SMITH, former rural mail carrier out of the Fairfield Post Office. He died June 10, 1972.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating.

Members of the family will be at the Raymond Funeral Home for visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Inez A. SMITH was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Hazelton, S.D., the daughter of Orrin E. and Inez J. LEACH LEE. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mrs. SMITH is survived by one son and three daughters; Blake SMITH, Mesa, Ariz., Gail D. SMITH and Cheryl KIECKHEFER both of Mesa; and Laurel JACKSON, Phoenix, Ariz.

Two grandchildren and three brothers also survive. They are Ira LEE who lives in Oregon; Dale LEE, S.D.; Jay LEE, Mesa; and a sister, Ruth REICH, Minn.

Note: per various researchers there is not, nor has there ever been a Hazelton, SD, so I do not know her place of birth.

Buried Evergreen Cemetery, 5th.083

Transcribed for genealogy purposes, Inez was my sister-in-law.
