FRANK SCOTT DIES SUNDAY

Frank L. SCOTT, 84, passed away Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the McCleary Nursing home, 304 N. Main street. He had been in poor health for several years and critically ill the past week.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. H. L. DeVore in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. SCOTT was born September 14, 1864, in Mercer county, Illinois, the son of the late A. L. and Mary BABBITT SCOTT. He was united in marriage December 24, 1897, at Fairfield to Eva BRYAN.

Mr. SCOTT had made his home in the Fairfield community since his marriage. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist church. His wife preceded him in death June 26, 1922.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul RAY, Arlington, Washington; and Mrs. Clarence McCORMICK, Fairfield; three grandchildren; and one great grandson. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters; E. W. SCOTT, Collins, Iowa; Walter, Big Fork, Minnesota; Leonard, Floodwood, Minnesota; George, Arcadia, California; Alice, Grand Rapids, Minnesota; and Mrs. Thomas CONNOR, also of Arcadia.

One son Elmer preceded his father in death on January 12, 1927.
