Mrs. Walter HANKS, 80, died at 2:30 a.m. today at Jefferson County Hospital after an illness of several years. She had been seriously ill the past several months.
Mrs. HANKS had spent all of her life in Fairfield except 15 years in Mount Pleasant.
Last rites will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Grace Ann HANKS was born Jan. 6, 1890, in Fairfield, the daughter of Henry and Sarah Jane GOW RIDER. She was married to Walter J. HANKS Dec. 18, 1913.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. HANKS is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy MULLIKIN and Mrs. Harold TURNER, both of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
