MRS. CRAWFORD, 83, DIES IN BATAVIA

BATAVIA, Ia., Nov. 24---Mrs. Margaret Ellen CRAWFORD, 83, died at her home in Batavia Thursday morning. She had been in poor health for several years.

Last rites will be at the Campbell funeral home in Batavia Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

She was born in Keokuk county March 15, 1867, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Jane SISSON. Most of her life has been spent in and around Jefferson county.

She was married to William J. CRAWFORD, February 20, 1887, who preceded her in death in June 1944. Survivors include five sons, Guy, Ralph and Earl, all of Batavia; Wayne, Libertyville; Ernest, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Wes GILLASPIE, Packwood and Mrs. Martha SALTS, Batavia. There are 28 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter.
