Cpl. CRAWFORD Now Listed as Killed In Action in Korea

Cpl. Harold E. CRAWFORD, missing in action in Korea since October 27 is now presumed to be dead, according to word received by his parents from the War department.

Cpl. CRAWFORD, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest CRAWFORD of route 2, Washington, was reported missing in action July 27, 1950. At that time he had been in Korea about two weeks. Cpl. CRAWFORD entered the armed forces Sept. 1, 1948 at the age of 17 years. He was in the I Company 29th Infantry Regiment 24th Infantry Division.

Born and reared in Fairfield, he attended school there.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by nine sisters and two brothers.

The war department message notifying the family that Cpl. CRAWFORD is now presumed dead, was signed by Major General William E. Bergin, adjutant general of the army.

Buried Evergreen Cemetery, 4th.073
