DIES SUNDAY AT OTTUMWA

Death came Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Fred BOWERMASTER, well-known Fairfield resident and native of Jefferson county.

She passed away at 3:40 a.m. in the Chatfield nursing home in Ottumwa where she had been a patient since Nov. 14. She had been in failing health the past four years.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic church with the Rev. Father O. F. DeCoursey in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the Hoskins funeral home here at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Nellie M. BOWERMASTER, 66, was born Oct. 2, 1886, at Germanville in Jefferson county, the daughter of Nicholas T. and Emma KNERR LAMANSKY. She was united in marriage on May 6, 1912, to Fred BOWERMASTER who survives. The wedding took place in Fairfield.

Mrs. BOWERMASTER spent her entire life in Jefferson county and had been a resident of Fairfield for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic church and the Rosary society.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and one son; Mrs. Evalyn L. TALBOTT, New London; Mrs. Rosalie M. HARRIS, Seattle, and Robert R. BOWERMASTER, Fairfield. She is also survived by six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Emma WOODS, Mrs. Margaret WOODS and Mrs. Gertrude YOUNG, all of Rock Island, and one brother, Ray LAMANSKY, Davenport.
