".... Roscoe, the eleven-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal SIMMONS, living in the northwest part of the city, died Thursday after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon by Rev. H. S. Gilliam of the Christian church and burial was made in the Evergreen cemetery...."

Note: The full given name as on his headstone was Leonard Roscoe SIMMONS. Born October 30, 1902 and died July 8, 1903. Son of Cornelius (sic. Neal in the obituary) J. SIMMONS and Ora Edith CALDWELL SIMMONS/IRELAND. Buried in the CALDWELL family plot, Old.P.107, in Evergreen cemetery. His parents, maternal grandparents, and a sibling sister Iona Mae SIMMONS (1897-1905) are also buried in this same plot.
