Rites Saturday for HUFFMAN

BATAVIA ---- Juanita Ferne HUFFMAN, 69, died this morning at the Sigourney Care Center.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Campbell Funeral Home in Batavia. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Polishville Cemetery Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.

Friends may call after noon Friday at the funeral chapel.

Miss HUFFMAN was born Aug. 24, 1918 near Floris, the daughter of Bert and Lydia CANNY HUFFMAN. She was a graduate of Parsons College and did graduate work at the University of Iowa, the University of Northern Iowa and Northeast Missouri State University.

She retired after 44 years of teaching in the rural schools of Jefferson County and the Fairfield Community School District.

She was a member of the Batavia Legion Auxiliary, Business and Professional Women's Club, an active worker in the Polishville Cemetery Association and the Grotto Association, and a member of the Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Clell, of Batavia, and several nieces and nephews.
