O.R. GROVE DIES SUDDENLY

O.R. GROVE, 606 West Jefferson St., lifetime Jefferson county resident passed away suddenly at the Jefferson county hospital shortly after noon today. He had been at the hospital since October 11 and was thought to be improving.

The body has been taken to the Weston Behner funeral home where arrangements are pending.

Funeral Services For O. R. GROVE, Saturday

Oscar Raymond GROVE, 66, lifetime resident of Fairfield passed away at the Jefferson county hospital yesterday afternoon after being seriously ill for the past three weeks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday from the Weston Behner funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Dr. E. A. Piper and Rev. S. P. Williamson will officiate. Burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. GROVE was the son of the late Andrew and Mary GROVE and was born April 26, 1879 in Jefferson county, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Florence BROWN, April 8, 1939. He was a member of the Lutheran church and of the K. of P. Lodge and was employed by the Dexter company for the past 19 years and worked up until October of this year.

He is survived by his wife and four daughters: Mrs. Harry COOK and Miss Katherine GROVE of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Raymond BUTLER of Ottumwa and Miss Lois GROVE of Fairfield; two brothers: Dr. E. G. GROVE, Shelbyville, Indiana and Elmer B. GROVE of Fairfield; two sisters: Mrs. Hanna DAVIS, Colorado Springs and Mrs. Esther KLINGER of Eaton, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Dickie and Linda BUTLER. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

ADMINISTRATRIX'S NOTICE

Public Notice is Hereby Given:

That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, administratrix of the estate of Oscar Ray GROVE, Deceased.

All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their being allowed or proped (sic), and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid costs.

Dated at Fairfield, Iowa, this 8th day of November, A. D., 1945.

Note:
Oscar Raymond "RAY" GROVE was born April 26, 1879 and died Nov. 1, 1945. Buried in the same plot as his parents Andrew G. GROVE and Mary GROVE, 2nd.004, in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.

Married Anna L. CASE GROVE on Jan. 5, 1904. They were divorced on October 18, 1939. Ray GROVE subsequently married Florence May BROWN YARGUS. Both wives are also buried in Evergreen Cemetery; Anna with her parents in 2nd.190; Florence remarried to Marshall J. KELLER and is buried with him in 5th.122.
