G. ZILLMAN Rites Set

George A. ZILLMAN, 75, 501 Highland, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital after he had been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Berg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at noon Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

George A. ZILLMAN was born June 27, 1898, in Henry County, the son of Lewis and Nellie GHOLSON ZILLMAN. He was reared and educated in the Lockridge Community and graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1917. He served in the U. S. Navy from April 1917 to February 1919, and graduated from Parsons College in 1924.

His Marriage to Vera McCLEARY took place Dec. 31, 1925, at Burlington. ZILLMAN had been employed in the sales department of Louden Machinery Co. from 1925 until his retirement in September, 1962. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, member of Kaaba Shrine of Davenport, Elks and VFW, a 50-year member of the American Legion.

In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Myron McCREEDY, Mendota, Ill.; Mrs. Paul ENGWALL. Fairfield; Mrs. Harold JOHNSON, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. James ARCHIBALD, Casper, Wyo.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
