C. Frescoln dies at 81

BATAVIA - Charles H. FRESCOLN, 81, died at the University Hospital in Iowa City, at 4:30 a.m. today.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Batavia in charge of Rev. Stephen Conte. Interment in Batavia cemetery. Masonic rites will be Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral chapel in Batavia. Memorials to the Batavia United Methodist Church.

Charles FRESCOLN was born July 25, 1898 near Batavia the son of Charles S. and Mary F. HARRISON FRESCOLN. He lived and farmed the Batavia area his entire life and operated elevators at several locations.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kilwinning 198 AF & AM of Batavia and Methodist Men's Group.

He was married to Bertha PEEBLER April 7, 1920 and she survives, also one son, Merrill of Fairfield, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray of Batavia and Bruce of Fairfield.
