Robert GILLASPIE Succumbs at 71

Robert L. GILLASPIE, 71, veteran employe at the Louden Machinery Co., died Sunday at 11:15 a.m. at his home at 801 W. Broadway. He had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill for three weeks.

Services are planned Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home. The Rev. George Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen emetery (sic).

GILLASPIE was a machinist at the Louden plant for 36 years before his health failed. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

GILLASPIE was born Feb. 16, 1886 at Bentonsport, the son of William and Lavine WILHEM (sic - William and Lavine WILHEM GILLASPIE). He was married to Nina MESSER Feb. 18, 1914. They have made their home in Fairfield for 40 years.

GILLASPIE is survived by his wife and the following children: Orgie GILLASPIE, Fair Oaks, Calif.; Mrs. Helen McINTIRE, Lancaster, Calif.; and Dale GILLASPIE, Sabula. Five grandchildren also survive. One brother and one sister are deceased.
