Mary Avis BOUGHNER

Mary Avis BOUGHNER, 86, of Keota died at 1:35 a.m. today, Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 3:30-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

Mrs. BOUGHNER was born April 26, 1912, in Jefferson County, the daughter of John and Ivy Myrtle WATERS COFFIN. She married George BOUGHNER Nov. 27, 1931, in Lancaster, Mo. He died Oct. 18, 1990.

She lived all her life in the Fairfield area. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1931. She was a homemaker and cook at Jefferson County Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church and current member of Packwood Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Avis HILL of Batavia and Shirley MOSINSKI of Packwood; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth COFFIN of Fairfield; and one sister, Pearl WAUGH, also of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Milton, Raymond, John, Willard and Lester; and one sister, Blanche.
