Ronald D. THOMPSON

Ronald D. THOMPSON, 61, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

Per Mr. THOMPSON's request, no visitation or service is planned. The body will be cremated.

Memorials may be made to the THOMPSON family. Cards and memorials may be sent to Martha Thompson, 103 E. Walnut St., Eldon 52554.

Mr. THOMPSON was born Sept. 23, 1950, in Fairfield, the son of Geraldine and Rodney THOMPSON. He married Kathleen C. PYLE in 1978 in Ottumwa. She died in 1986. He married Martha "Marty" A. SIMONS in March 1997.

Mr. THOMPSON graduated from Cardinal High School in 1968.

Survivors include his wife; two sons: Zack THOMPSON and wife Stacy of Marion and Mike SIMONS and wife Lecia of Libertyville; one daughter: Nikki HOLLANDER and husband Bruce of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John.
