Donald Lee MECK

LIBERTYVILLE. Donald Lee MECK, 55, of Libertyville died at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 1993, at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

He was born Feb. 17, 1938, at Birmingham, to Raymond and Harriet LYONS MECK. He grew up in Birmingham, attended rural school and graduated from Birmingham High School. He received mechanical training in Kansas City, Mo., and was a cement contractor.

Surviving are two daughters, Kayla D. MECK of Libertyville and Sherri RICHARDSON of Ainsworth; one step son, Dana WHITE, stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington; two grandsons; two sisters, Edna CRAFTON of Birmingham and Leona HOLDER of Des Moines; and three brothers, Clifford MECK and Lyle MECK, both of Libertyville, and Bill MECK of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Dale, Harold, and Joe MECK.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to cancer research at University Hospitals.
