MYERS, 80, dies in California

Emery "Bike" MYERS, 80, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, April 2, 1988, in Oxnard, Calif., where he made his home the last 25 years.

He was born May 1, 1907, near Abingdon, the son of Emmett and Maude GARDNER MYERS. He lived most of his life in Jefferson County and Fairfield until he moved to California where he worked for the Hoskins Trucking Company until his retirement.

He married Lucille HOSKINS GEORGE Dec. 27, 1959. He was active in the American Legion Babe Ruth Baseball team in Fairfield for many years.

Myers is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter. Cremation took place in California and the ashes will be returned to the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield for graveside rites at the Friends Cemetery, Pleasant Plain, at a later date.
