Judith W. ANGSTEAD, 60, of 24477 Jewel Ave., Keosauqua died Tuesday evening, Sept. 16, 2003, in her home.

The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Robeck officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Purdom Cemetery near Keosauqua (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

A memorial has been established to her family.

Mrs. ANGSTEAD was born Aug. 20, 1943, in Charlottesville, Va., the daughter of Samuel Robert and Florence Elizabeth MOREHEAD WHEELER. She married Bill R. ANGSTEAD April 15, 1982, in Fairfield.

Mrs. ANGSTEAD grew up in Orange, Va., where she graduated from high school in 1961. She also graduated from Roanoke Institute of Business and the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy as a certified civil deputy sheriff. She was a certified civil deputy sheriff with the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department for 25 years.

She was a member of River View Country Club in Keosauqua.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Robert BOWMAN and wife Heidi of Fairfield; two daughters, Dorrie LYONS and husband Mike of Fairfield and Cathy BOWMAN of Minneapolis, Minn.; two stepdaughters, Cathy BRUNTON of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Amy NANSEL of Visalia, Calif.; one stepson, Adam ANGSTEAD of Iowa City; eight grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; and one sister, Dorothy SMITH of Tecumseh, Mich.

Mrs. ANGSTEAD was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Alice Jean BUTLER.
