Lester C. ZILLMAN, long-time Fairfield factory employe (sic), died suddenly at his home yesterday morning.
He had been working outside in the yard at his residence, 204 W. Madison street, and complained of a severe pain in his chest. He went inside, a doctor was summoned, but he passed away about a half hour later at 10:45 a.m.
Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Lester C. ZILLMAN, 53, was born Oct. 23, 1899, near Lockridge. He was the son of the late Lewis B. and Nellie GHOLSON ZILLMAN.
He was united in marriage on Oct. 22, 1922, to Edna May McINTIRE, who survives. The wedding took place at Burlington.
ZILLMAN had spent the last 40 years of his life in this community, and for the past 25 years had been employed at the Dexter company where he was a foreman.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Robert LaVern ZILLMAN, Mrs. Doris REGUR and Mrs. Nellie ANDERSON, all of Fairfield. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two brothers, George A. ZILLMAN, Fairfield and Omer ZILLMAN, Tulsa, Okla.
