Merle "Andy" E. ANDERSON, 76, of 807 W. Taylor Ave., died at 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Open visitation will be held until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.
Mr. ANDERSON was born May 27, 1925, in Olds, the son of Elmer and Vernie MILLER ANDERSON. He married Nellie ZILLMAN, July 16, 1950, in Memphis, Mo.
He graduated from the Fairfield High School with the class of 1944. He worked for Ford Implement in Mount Pleasant for 26 years and was a parts man for Pickard Implement for 10 years. He retired in 1986.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. and A.M. No. 15, Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie) No. 1927, and First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife Nellie ANDERSON of Fairfield; one son, Michael ANDERSON of Miami Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Patti BEAUCHAMP and husband Dennis of Westfield, Ind.; two granddaughters; two brothers, Larry ANDERSON of Carlise, Ohio, and Glen ANDERSON of Petaluma, Calif.; three sisters, Jeannette BLOOMQUIST of New York, Eleanor KRAMBECK of Wichita, Kansas, and Marilyn CHRISTMAN of Campbell, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lois TOWLES.
