DEATH TAKES T. B. TURNER

T. B. TURNER, well-known Fairfield resident, died this morning at the Chatfield Nursing home in Ottumwa where he had been a patient since Saturday. He was 72.

TURNER, who lived at 411 E. Hampstead street, had been in failing health for many years. He was a patient at the Jefferson county hospital for several weeks before being moved to Ottumwa.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. J. R. Lisenbee. The Rev. Everett Allen, pastor of the Ottumwa A.M.E. church, will assist. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

TURNER had been a resident of Fairfield for more than 40 years and for most of that period served as a trucker and custodian for several local business firms.

He was born Oct. 15, 1878 at Louisiana, Mo., the son of William Henry and Anna Frances JACKSON TURNER. He was married to Rachel MOSS in Fairfield Jan. 14, 1916. She preceded him in death Aug. 7, 1946.

Several nieces and nephews survive.
