Cathleen "Cathy" Angela NELSON, 78, of Fairfield, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
No funeral is planned. Cremation has been accorded.
Family visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
A memorial has been established to St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mrs. NELSON was born Sept. 19, 1933, in Edina, Minn., the daughter of Paul and Catherine RENZ WIND. She married Jerry NELSON Sept. 5, 1963, in Brainerd, Minn.
Mrs. NELSON lived in Brainerd, Minn., for 25 years. She attended St. Catherine's University and University of Minnesota, graduating with a degree in dietary health. The NELSONs lived in Marshalltown for 20 years and then in Fairfield since 1994.
Mrs. NELSON had been a member of St. Catherine's Honor Choir. She was a member of PEO Chapter MB, Fairfield Women's Club, TTT of Marshalltown and St. Mary Catholic Church. She also belonged to several bridge groups.
Mrs. NELSON enjoyed playing cards, reading, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, one son, Brian NELSON of Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Angie McLEAN and husband Chris of Coralville and Alisa KOLARS and husband Ben of Carroll; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Paul WIND of Woodbury, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pammie as a toddler.
