Josephine 'Jo' WILEY KELLAM

Josephine "Jo" WILEY KELLAM, 88, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, in Virginia Beach, Va.

Mrs. KELLAM was born May 23, 1923, in Lebanon, Iowa, the daughter of Samuel and Isabella WILEY. She married William "Bill" Page KELLAM. He died in 2005.

Mrs. KELLAM was active in various civic organizations, including Dolphin Circle of King's Daughters and as a Pink Lady at the hospital. She was a member of Princess Anne Country Club and the Presbyterian church.

Mrs. KELLAM enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends, playing tennis, spending time with her grandchildren and visiting her sister in Fairfield.

Survivors include three children: Mary Jo FREER, William G. KELLAM and wife Lynn and Douglas P. KELLAM and wife Claire Ann; one sister, Isabelle JOHNSON of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She met her husband in California and they moved to Virginia Beach in 1945. Services were to be conducted in Virginia Beach on October 13th.
