Services will be Monday, Sept. 15, for Clifton HOOTMAN, former Fairfield resident who died Monday at San Benita, Texas, following a lengthy illness.
Rites will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. J.E. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
HOTTMAN (sic - HOOTMAN) was a brother-in-law of Don ABBEY, 706 N. Third.
Clifton HOOTMAN, 75, was born Dec. 29, 1900, at Birmingham. He was married to Elizabeth ABBEY in 1919. They lived most of their married life in Cedar Rapids, moving to Texas about three years ago.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes SMITH, San Benita; Mrs. Mary ULLRICH, Cedar Rapids; and Mrs. Betty FUGATE, Cedar Rapids; and five brothers.

Last rites will be Monday for Clifton R. HOOTMAN, 74, former Fairfield resident who died Sept. 8 at San Benito, Texas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. J.E. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
HOOTMAN was born Dec. 29, 1900, at Birmingham, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard HOOTMAN. He was married in 1919 to Elizabeth ABBEY of Fairfield who survives.
Other survivors include four daughters and five brothers. He was a brother-in-law of Don and Earl ABBEY, Sr., both of Fairfield; and Allen ABBEY, Davenport.
