Allen ABBEY

Allen ABBEY, 91, of Davenport died Saturday, June 27, 1992, at the Davenport Medical Center after an extended illness.

A graveside service was held at noon today at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

ABBEY was born June 28, 1900, in Mount Aetna, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer ABBEY. He married Marian BROWN on Dec. 6, 1930, in Missouri. Prior to his retirement, ABBEY owned and operated a service station in Riviera Beach, Fla.

Surviving are two daughters, Pauline TROUT of Fairfield and Frances SCHAFER of Davenport; two sons, Forest ABBEY of Mountain View, Calif., and Leland ABBEY of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Runge Mortuary of Davenport handled the arrangements.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, in Lot 4th.014. He was first married to Vada Marie (Zada Marie in her obituary) SAWVEL, who died in 1929; second wife Marian is buried next to him, while first wife Vada is elsewhere in the same cemetery.
