Esther L. MUNTZ

Esther L. MUNTZ, 81, of Milton, died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

No service is planned. The body has been cremated.

An open house is planned noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mrs. MUNTZ's home, 301 E. Old Main St., Milton.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated by the family later may be left at the open house or may be mailed to the family at 109 W. Old Main St., Milton 52570.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mrs. MUNTZ was born Feb. 27, 1930, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth BROWN GRIM. She married Donald MUNTZ June 1, 1947. He died May 18, 2008.

Mrs. MUNTZ graduated from Milton High School. She was a homemaker and Avon sales representative.

She was active in various organizations, including Milton Lions Club, Riverview Club in Keosauqua, Southern Iowa Economic Development board and the Democratic Party.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda RUBERG, Debra MUNTZ and Cathy SPEER and husband Steve, all of Milton; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Grace WHIRRETT of Bloomfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Eugene GRIM; and three sisters, Ann CONE, Hope KINSINGER and Jane WHITE.
