MRS. WALKER PASSES AWAY.

Mrs. Ruth A. WALKER, 91, this morning at 9:30 at her home in Batavia. She was the oldest resident of Batavia and would have been 92 on Thurs. Sept. 7. born near Batavia Sept. 7 1852, dau. of Elijah & Harriet (CHILCOTT) DEAN, and had lived all her life in Batavia and vicinity. In May 1873 she was married to John WALKER who died in 1905. She was also preceded in death by one son, Elvin, who died in 1935. Surviving are one son, Jesse WALKER of Batavia, 10 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Member Old Des Moines River Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral will be held Thursday afternoon Sept. 7 from the Campbell Funeral Parlors in Batavia in charge of Rev. A. H. Holmes of Newton. Burial will be in the Rominger Cemetery s.e. of Batavia....
