SUDDEN DEATH.

At her home in Des Moines Township, last Thursday, Clara, wife of J. C. PUMPHREY. Lung fever and dropsy. Maiden name was Clara HERRON; she was born near the village of Warren, in Lee County, Dec 28 1851. Attended the academies of Primrose and Pilot Grove, teaching for a time at former institution. In 1872 came to this county to teach in Des Moines Township... In March 1875 married Mr. J. C. PUMPHREY.... M.E. Church. Kind neighbor, true wife, loving mother, good woman. One child, a little boy of six years, is left; an infant died last spring. Funeral held from County Line Church last Friday. Interment at Dunn Cemetery....
