Mrs. Jane OLIVER, an old and highly esteemed resident of Packwood, died early this morning after an illness of several months. Mrs. OLIVER was 82 years of age and is survived by five children who are as follows:
David M. OLIVER, Jr., John G. OLIVER, Addison OLIVER and Mrs. David METZLER (sic. Mary Ellen OLIVER METZLER) of Packwood, and Lucian OLIVER of Dresden, Kansas. The arrangements for the funeral are not completed yet but it is thought the last services wil be held Monday morning at ten o'clock at the home. The interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery in this city Monday afternoon.

Note: Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. Old.P.182. Her maiden name was TOWNE; evidently her parents Elijah and Elizabeth P MARTIN TOWNE are also buried on this same plot with individual monuments for each.
