Illness Is Fatal To Mrs. BONNETT

Mrs. C. Dan BONNETT (sic. Charles Daniel BONNETT), 82, died early yesterday at her home west of Fairfield. She had been seriously ill for two weeks.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Ronald Kelly. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The former Maggie WADE (sic. Margaret Izora WADE; the given name was Margaret, the Izora is found on the 1915 Iowa Census), Mrs. BONNETT was born Feb. 1, 1870 in Van Buren county, the daughter of William and Matilda KENNEDY WADE (sic. mothers' name a/k/a Piety Elizabeth KENNEDY WADE). She was married to C. D. BONNETT Jan. 22, 1889 in Fairfield. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1946.

Mrs. BONNETT had been a resident of Jefferson county for 45 years. She lived in the Libertyville area before moving to Fairfield. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

The following children survive: Mrs. Fred WILLIAMS and Ira BONNETT, both of Fairfield; Mrs. Birdell LOWE, Richmond, Ind.; Harry BONNETT, Ottumwa; Mrs. Milton YERION, Libertyville, and Lester BONNETT, Layton, Utah. Sixteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive. One son and one brother are deceased.
