Death Comes To Mary E. LIBLIN

Mary Ellen LIBLIN, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, passed away about 5 a.m. this morning at the Schiedel Nursing home after a lengthy illness.

She entered the Jefferson county hospital in February, 1952, and later entered the nursing home on May 9 the same year. She had been a patient there since.

Last rites will be Friday at the Hoskins funeral home at 2 p.m. with Dr. L.L. Weis in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary Ellen LIBLIN, 81, was born Jan. 15, 1872, in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late Martin and Julia LOURY LIBLIN. She was reared and educated in Jefferson county and spent her entire life in this community. She never married.

Moving to Fairfield in 1945, she made her home at 307 E. Adams street. Miss LIBLIN was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by two brothers, Ben and Frank LIBLIN, both of Fairfield; and a sister, Mrs. Anna J. KING, Kahoka, Mo. She is also survived by two nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. She is buried in the same plot as her brother Frank Donald LIBLIN (1876-1954) and they share a single headstone with inscription notes for each with name and years listed, as well as "Sister" & "Brother". Old.P.286.
